Customer Spotlight: County Line Hardwood

At RZ Mask, one of the best parts of what we do is getting to connect with hardworking people who take pride in their craft — and recently we had the opportunity to do exactly that with Brent and Kim from County Line Hardwood LLC in Spooner, Wisconsin.

The connection started through Steve’s wife Holly and her business, Drizzle, a specialty oil, vinegar, vitamins, and supplements store focused on healthy living and quality products. Kim had been helping Holly with social media, photography, and video content, and through that relationship Steve learned more about Brent’s business and the incredible craftsmanship happening at County Line Hardwood.

After seeing Brent’s work, Steve wanted to send over some RZ gear to put to the test in the shop.

And the results were awesome.

County Line Hardwood LLC specializes in kiln-dried live edge slabs and boards used for custom tables, bar tops, furniture, trim work, and woodworking projects of all kinds. They also provide sawmill services including portable milling, rough and planed lumber, and custom-built tables, benches, and bar tops.

What makes their business especially unique is their approach to sourcing wood locally from the Northwoods of Wisconsin — often using logs that were rejected due to storm damage, insect damage, construction clearing, or imperfections. Instead of letting those materials go to waste, Brent transforms them into beautiful, one-of-a-kind finished products.

Their philosophy says it perfectly:

Watching Brent work with reclaimed and imperfect hardwoods is a reminder that craftsmanship still matters — and so does taking care of yourself while doing the work. Whether sanding, milling, cutting, or finishing hardwood, airborne dust and fine particulates are simply part of the job. That’s why it was great seeing RZ products getting real-world use in the shop environment where comfort, fit, and breathability actually matter.
