What Is FFP3 — and How Does It Compare?
FFP3 is the highest classification in the European EN 149 respiratory protection standard, requiring a minimum of 99% filtration of airborne particles. To put it in context:
- FFP1 — 80% filtration (low hazard environments)
- FFP2 — 94% filtration (moderate hazard, equivalent to N95)
- FFP3 — 99%+ filtration (highest hazard, equivalent to N99/P100)
