I do a lot of woodworking outside my garage in the bright sun, so I need tinted lenses. I purchased the G1 tinted safety glasses because I have been wearing regular sunglasses that I no longer wear as sunglasses, and that are not designed as safety eye wear, so I'm always a little concerned that they may fail when they're needed most. I like the style of thees as they are of the same design as most of my sunglasses. They fit nicely, and are for the most part, very comfortable. I said "for the most part" because since they are not adjustable like the G2 safety glasses, they are one-size-fits-all. Even though on the box it states that they are adjustable, (look at the box on the website, it states "adjustable fit" at the bottom on the left side of the window), they are not, and there wasn't any instructions describing how to adjust them if in fact they are. It also states that they are "anti-scratch" but my left lens has a scratch on it, but since it's not in my line of sight, I'm not concerned about it. All-in-all they are a nice pair of safety glasses for a decent price, and they provide a level of safety that my regular sunglasses cannot achieve. I fully recommend these G1 tinted safety glasses if you work outside, and since they provide UV protection, you can even wear them as your regular pair of sunglasses. I do wish they were polarized though, but that would probably increase the price a bit. Price is why I chose the G1s over the G2s, because being on Social Security disability, every dollar not spent is a dollar that can go to something else that's needed.
