Having a tough time with allergies this spring? Consider a trip to Daytona Beach, which was recently named the best place to breathe during spring allergy season.
The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America ranked the nation’s largest cities according to how much pollen they have, how many residents are seeking treatment for their symptoms and how easily they can access allergists.
Out of the 100 cities surveyed, Daytona Beach performed the best.
Coming in first, meaning the worst place for spring allergies, is Jackson, Mississippi, followed by Memphis, Tennessee and Syracuse, New York.
Orlando also fared well, coming in at 87th.
If you’re struggling with allergies, experts suggest visiting an allergist who can help pinpoint allergy triggers and prescribe medication. People can also find relief by cutting down on pollen exposure by showering and changing clothes when they get home for the day.
